Wednesday 21st - HDC Health Walk meeting at 7.00 pm in Ashington. 6 to 7 mile circular walk for the more experienced walkers who crave the excitement and satisfaction of covering this distance at pace over difficult terrain. Sunday 19th – Ashington 3rd Fun Run will follow the usual format with a slightly changed cross country route in the over 15yrs and Adult category. Other Races will take place on the Recreation Ground and include a one and a half mile race for Juniors between 6 -10yrs and a toddlers Fancy Dress trot for youngsters aged between 3-5Yrs. We also want to run an Adult Three legged Race and will be asking for representative Teams of Two from various Clubs and Organisations in the Village. Each participant will receive a medal on the day and there will be cups for the Winners in each category and special toddlers treats for our very young runners. We will need Volunteers on the day to help with the organisation of the event and to act as Race Marshalls. There will be Refreshments available on the day.
